How to Add Emergency Contacts on OnePlus 8T

Here’s how to set up emergency contact on the lock screen in your OnePlus 8T. You can add emergency information to OnePlus 8T like contacts (Phone number), name, address, medical information, and more. Anyone can read this information from your lock screen, and dial your contacts by tapping their names, without unlocking your OnePlus Smartphone. So if you lost your phone, this feature will help users to contact you if find your details.

How to Access Emergency Information from Lock Screen on OnePlus Smartphone

Two ways to add emergency information and contacts on your OnePlus 8T/8 Pro/8, OnePlus 7T Pro/7T/7 Pro/7, OnePlus 6T/6, and OnePlus 5T/5 updated to the latest Oxygen OS.

Step 1: Pull down the notification tray from the top and touch on the “Settings gear (Cog)” icon.

Step 2: Scroll and touch on “Security & lock screen”.

Step 3: Scroll and tap on “Emergency rescue” under the personal security section.

Automatically call for help by quickly pressing the power button.

Step 4: Click on “Edit Emergency information and contacts”.

Step 5: Add medical information including name, address, blood type, allergies, medications, medical notes, and organ donor and touch on the “Right arrow” icon at the top right.

Step 6: Click on “Add” under the emergency contacts section.

Step 7: Select the “Contacts” you want to add to the list.

Alternative Way: Lock your OnePlus > Click on Emergency at the bottom on lock screen > Double-tap on Emergency rescue > Settings gear icon at the top right corner > Unlock your OnePlus > Emergency information

How to Access Emergency Information from Lock Screen in OnePlus or Other Android Devices

Step 1: “Lock” your OnePlus or Android devices.

Step 2: Touch on the lock screen and tap on “Emergency” at the bottom.

Step 3: Click on “Emergency rescue” two times from the top.

Step 4: Touch on “Emergency call”. Other options are Flashing SOS light or SOS sound. Make sure to enable SOS messages to use other options.

Step 5: Automatically call the emergency contact you added in your OnePlus Smartphone.
