How to Enable Lockdown Mode in OnePlus 8T

Here’s how to enable lockdown mode in OnePlus 8T. When you turn on lockdown mode, it will show the lockdown option when you long-press the power button in your OnePlus 8T, 8 Pro, 8, 7T Pro, 7T, 7 Pro, 7, 6T, and 6. You can use lockdown mode to temporarily disable fingerprint security, turn off the smart lock, and notifications on the lock screen. Make sure to toggle on it to activate it on your device.

How to Show Lockdown Option on Power Menu on OnePlus 8T

 

 

Step 1: Pull down the notification tray from the top and click on the “Settings gear (Cog)” icon.

Step 2: Scroll down and click on “Security & lock screen”.

Step 3: Scroll again and click on the “Settings gear” icon in the lock screen passcode under the device security section.

Step 4: Toggle on “Show lockdown option” under the lock screen preference section.

Step 5: Long press the power button and click on the “Lockdown” option.

Step 6: “Lock” your OnePlus phone and try to unlock it using your “fingerprint lock or smart lock”. You can’t unlock it.

Step 7: Use “PIN, Password or Pattern lock” to unlock your OnePlus once to disable lockdown mode.

Step 8: Now, you can use a fingerprint or smart lock to unlock your OnePlus.

How to Turn Lockdown Mode Off on OnePlus 8T

Settings > Security & lock screen > Settings gear > Toggle off Show lockdown option

You can’t show the lockdown option when you long-press the power button.
