How to Enable Reading Mode in OnePlus 8T

Here’s how to turn on and use reading mode in OnePlus 8T. You can enable reading mode in OnePlus 8T to easily read books or novels without eye strains. Mono effect and chromatic effect are available in your OnePlus Oxygen OS. Mono effect makes you more immersive in words. Chromatic effect is used to more comfortable reading in color. When you add apps to reading mode, it will automatically enable reading mode for that apps and turn off when they are closed. Also, block peek notifications on OnePlus 8T.

How to Enable and Use Reading Mode in OnePlus 8T Oxygen OS

By default turn off reading mode in your OnePlus 8T. You can set reading mode using the given steps.

Step 1: Pull down the notification tray at the top and click on the “Settings gear (Cog)” icon.

Step 2: Click on “Display”.

Step 3: Touch on “Reading mode” under the Scenes section.

Step 4: Tap on “Turn on Reading mode”.

Step 5: Choose the default state from “Ask every time/Turn on chromatic effect/Turn on mono effect”.

Step 6: Go back, and toggle on “Turn on Reading mode”.

Step 7: Select effect from “Chromatic effect or Mono effect”.

You can choose also when you want to turn on reading mode.

How to Add Apps to Reading Mode in OnePlus 8T Oxygen OS

You can add the list of apps in reading mode to comfortable reading.

Step 1: Go to “Settings”.

Step 2: Touch on “Display”.

Step 3: Scroll and click on “Reading mode” in the Scene section.

Step 4: Click on “Add apps for reading mode”.

Step 5: Tap on the app from the list and select “Effect” from that app.

You can see that the app automatically added to the reading mode list.

Step 6: Click on the × icon in front of the app to remove the app from the reading mode list.
