How to Lock Apps in Samsung Galaxy A13

If you have children or, in general, you have a habit of sharing your Smartphone with others. You might want to hide or lock your essential and private apps in your Samsung Galaxy A13 5G, Galaxy A23 5G, and Galaxy A33 5G. Samsung has an in-built app lock function called Secure Folder. After locking apps, selected apps will move inside this folder, and you have to unlock the Secure Folder to access it. Moreover, you can also hide photos and various files in a Secure Folder. Alternatively, you can download a 3rd party app from the Google play store or Samsung store, providing the same functions.

Step 1: Open Setting.

Step 2: Scroll and open Biometrics and security.

Step 3: Tap on the secure folder.

Step 4: Select Agree.

Step 5: Select folder lock type among pattern, PIN, and password.

Step 6: Set desired lock.

Now a secure folder icon will appear on the app tray.

Step 7: Go back and open the Secure folder from the app tray and unlock it.

Step 8: Select Add (+) icon.

Step 9: Select and add apps.

Step 1: Open Settings.

Step 2: Tap on Biometrics and security.

Step 3: Tap and open the Secure folder.

Step 4: Disable Add secure folder to the apps screen.

Step 5: Select the Hide option.

Also, download a third-party app like AppLock or Norton app lock.

Step 1: Download AppLock from the Google Play store.

Step 2: Open AppLock.

Step 3: Set and confirm the lock password or pattern.

Step 4: Tap on agree and start.

Step 5: Scroll and select the desired app to lock from the privacy section and tap on it.

Step 6: Click on the 1st permit option when the permission required screen pops up.

Step 7: It will take you to usage data access. Please enable it for AppLock.

Step 8: Then select the second permit option.

Step 9: It will take you to appear on top. Please enable it for AppLock.

Step 10: Select and deselect apps you want to keep locked and unlocked.
