How to Set up Fingerprint on Huawei P40 Pro Plus

Do you want to unlock your Huawei P40 Pro using in-display fingerprint scanner? Here’s how to set up a fingerprint on Huawei P40 Pro Plus/P40 Pro. You can add fingerprint (Multiple) to Huawei P40 Pro+ using biometrics & password settings. Also, use fingerprint ID to lock apps and access safe. If you don’t like the default fingerprint animation effect then change it. A fingerprint sensor may be less secure than a strong PIN or Pattern.

How to Add Fingerprint in Huawei P40 Pro/P40 Pro Plus

Step 1: Pull down the notification tray with two fingers and touch on the “Settings gear (Cog)” icon.

Step 2: Scroll down and click on “Biometrics & password”.

Available options are Fingerprint ID, Face recognition, Lock screen password, and Smart unlock.

Step 3: Now touch on “Fingerprint ID”.

Step 4: Set a 6 digit lock screen PIN.

Step 5: Confirm the PIN.

Step 6: Toggle on “Unlock device”.

Step 7: Click on “Add fingerprint”.

Step 8: Press you’re “Finger up and down again & again until you can see enrolment successful on your screen”.  Move your finger around to capture different parts on it. Tilt your finger to capture the edges.

Step 9: Click on “OK”.

Also, unlock your device faster by verifying your face and fingerprint at the same time to set up face recognition.

Step 10: Lock your phone and unlock it using in-display fingerprint.
