Step 1: First open the Notification panel.  Click on the Setting icon gear at the top right.

Step 2: Scroll down slowly and click on Biometrics and Security.

Step 3: Now click on the Secure folder.

Step 4: If you are using a secure folder for the first time then you have to accept terms and conditions. Then you have to sign in Google account, email, or phone number.

Step 5: After Sign in, click on Agree.

Step 6: Enter Samsung Account details, and then click on Sign-in or Ok.

Step 7: Then click on the lock method you want to use and click on Next.

Step 8: After selecting the lock method, click on Continue.

Step 9: After setting this, a shortcut to the secure folder will appear on your phone’s home screen and app drawer.

How to Add Files in Secure Folders?

Method 1: For any Application.

Step 1: Go to the app drawer and click on the Security Folder app.

Step 2: Click on the Plus icon or click on the three dots and then click on Add files.

Step 3: Click on the file type you want to add to the Secure folder.

Step 4: Select the file you want to copy or move.

Copy: Choosing a copy will create another version of your file within the Secure Folder.

Move: Choosing a move will move the original file.

Method 2: Move the file of apps created by Samsung directly from where it is saved, such as the Gallery, my files, etc.

Step 1: Open Samsung’s official app.

Step 2: Click the file you want to move.

Step 3: Press on the three dots at the bottom right.

Step 4: Click on the Move to Secure File.

How to Download Apps using Secure Folder?

If you want to keep the application only in the secure folder, you have to uninstall the application in the app drawer.

If you download an application directly into the Secure Folder, that app will only exist in the Secure Folder

Step 1: Open your Secure Folder.

Step 2: Click on Add Apps or + icon.

Step 3: Press on the apps you want to add. If the app is not installed, go to download from the play store or download from the galaxy store and install.

Step 4: Click on Add.

How to Access Files in Secure Folder?

Step 1: Open your Secure Folder app.

Step 2: To access your images or picture, tap Gallery.

Step 3: To access your files, click on My Files then click on the location from which you moved the file. For example, if you move a file from Documents, tap Documents.

Step 1: First open the Notification panel. Click on the Setting icon gear at the top right.

Step 2: Scroll down slowly and click on Biometrics and Security.

Step 3: Now click on the Secure folder.

Step 4: Click on the show’s icon on the app screen.

Step 5: Click on the Hide or to Confirm.

How to Retrieve a Hidden Security Folder?

Step 1: Swipe down from the top of the screen with two fingers to reveal the Notification Panel.

Step 2: Swipe right and tap on the+ icon.

Step 3: Swipe right and touch and hold the Secure Folder onto the notification Panel.

Step 4: On the Secure Folder icon to hide or reveal the secure folder.

What to do if I forgot the password of the secure folder?

Step 1: Open your Secure Folder app.

Step 2: Enter the Password or Pattern.

Step 3: If the password or pattern is incorrect, click on Forgot PIN.

Step 4: Click on Reset.

Step 5: Enter the password for your Samsung account.

Step 6: Choose another Password or pattern folder on the Continue.
